We’ve finally decided to throw a housewarming party at the end of the month and now the pressure is on to get the house decorated and the last two rooms (craft and guestroom) cleaned up and box free.
We’ve found most of our posters and other art (some are still M.I.A.) and have been trying to get them framed. We still feel like there is a lot of empty wall space we’d like to fill. I’ve picked up a few things for the craft room that I can’t wait to receive and frame.
I got both these prints from bomobob on Etsy. I love the color and finish. I think they will look great framed and on the wall. He’s currently having a buy 1 get 1 free deal at his shop.
The color in this simple watercolor just pops. It will go really well with my new craft room color palette. I know, I changed it again. This is from Karen Faulkner. She’s offering free shipping right now.
This piece is coming all the way from Italy and is from Paolo Caravello via Etsy. I think either the craft room or the bathroom on the main floor. It would also look good in the TV/family room but that room is doing well on the art and decoration front.
This is my last Etsy buy. This surf inspired print is from Surf Painter. This is also a craft room contender or it will end up in the upstairs guest bathroom. I could also see it in the upstairs hall.
As I was surfing for art last night, I came across a this amazing site, the Poster Cause Project, where different artists sell posters and all the money goes to one good cause or another. Right now, all poster profits are going toward rebuilding Haiti via Doctors Without Boarders. I checked to see if there was something similar for the quake in Chile but couldn’t find anything.
I picked up this poster by DALEK for the band room. I like the colors and think it will go well with the vintage Bob Dylan poster he has.
This poster by FRANKENSTYLES reminds me of a shirt I have. The different images spell out Haiti. I think this may be the top contender for the main floor bathroom.
This last super cute poster for Haiti is by DEVILROBOTS. It looks sad but the colors make it look happy at the same time. It’s going in the craft room too.
I bought these 8 pieces of art for less than $100 including shipping and tax. This will do for now, but I’m always on the lookout for more. Any suggestions for places to look?
