One day when we’ve won the lottery, we’re getting a real Eames Lounge chair but until then, we’ll have to settle for the replica one we got off Craigslist for less than $200 (I can’t remember how much exactly).
Our friend Cliff sent us a link to an amazing Eames Chair Replica Before and After post on Apartment Therapy that we’re now drooling over.
Even the fabric they used would match our family room perfectly. Re-covering our replica never crossed our mind then we saw the what it could look like and can’t think about it.
We know. We have a problem. We need to focus on finishing one room at a time but for some reason we can’t. We’ve got so many projects for so many rooms in the works. We finally decided what we’re going to do about the unframed paintings. We decided to stretch them ourselves and use American Frame. We’re hoping it will come out as good as we hope.
Our living room chair (another Craigslist find) is ready for a makeover. We’ve got all our supplies (thread and fabric) ready to hand over to the upholsterer. No more tacky library print chair for us!
We’re also working on the bandroom (new curtains), both guestrooms and hopefully the yard and the front door. Yes, too many projects.
What do you think? Reupholster the chair eventually? Also, anyone else have a hard time decorating (and finishing) one room at a time or is it just us?
