Over the weekend we played around with our living room arrangement because the original layout (which I can’t find a picture of) wasn’t working for us. Actually, we made a change to our flooring (coming next week) and needed to move things around.
The couch used to face the fireplace and now it faces the window. Yes, that’s the change. I think we are going to do something about the chair. I am going to paint/stain the wood for sure but I’m not sure about the fabric. It’s very green and velvety but it’s Izzy’s favorite spot in the whole house. She actually leans on the back of the chair when she sits in it.
This is a better picture. We are not done with this room by any means. We need to paint and scrub off the sap stain above the fire place. The Christmas tree fell on it. I may move the coffee plant or at least put it on something nicer. Of course there is the chair and all the pillows I want to sew for the couch that I’ve been putting off for months.
Behind the couch is the bar which we’ve shifted a bit. The wine rack used to be in the middle but we’ve decided to shift over so we have room to hang some art. We know, our rack is empty but that’s not our fault. We blame wine makers (or Ikea). The curvier bottles don’t fit in our rack.
Remember the entry table? Where this is where we are now. I covered the top in cork, brought Buddha downstairs, added an vintage container and the lamp. The lamp I got when I purchased the lamp used in the Design Throwdown. It was $7 or $8 and the lady delivered it to my door. I was going to paint it but the grooves are a bit tricky. I need to repair the shade as it’s dented and has a small rip. I think maybe some new drawer pulls, a vase with flowers and maybe something in the cubbyholes and it’s done. Maybe.
Do you think I should lay some cork in the cubbyholes too? I can’t decide.

Everything looks great! I love your wine rack, even if it can't fit all of your bottles. :)
I love your living room layout, so inviting!
It is really looking great! Isn't it refreshing how small changes can switch up the feel of a room?
I absolutely love your bar setup!!!
