I’m headed home today after a full month in Zambia. It’s going to take 24 hours of flying and 6.5 hours of layovers to get home, but nonetheless to get there. Hopefully I won’t be back in Zambia until June; I need some time at home. Here are some shots of Zambia from my September/October trip. Enjoy!
A homemade chair made from goat skin and tree branches. It was actually very comfy.
Best means of transport outside the city
Waiting for treatment
Ladies selling cabbage on the roadside
Sewing a laptop bag
Charcoal for cooking and warmth
Typical lunch at the office : collard greens, chicken, eggplant, hibiscus and okra with Nshima
A few million kwacha. I think each stack is worth about $1000.
A strange but typical flower seen everywhere.
Let me know if you have questions about any of these pictures. I have a few from this trip that I will post when I get home.
p.s. All the pictures were taken with my old iphone. Not too bad.

Zambia is such a beautiful country - I'm glad you're able to share it with us. Safari Njema!
That chair would sell for a gazillion dollars at Anthro. Glad you're on your way back! :)
