OH, we can’t believe we’re back in Seattle after a glorious (and warm) week in Maui. We will definitely expand on our trip later this week but for now we can’t really focus because we are still mourning the loss of the constant Vitamin D.
Not the greatest picture with the big rock right in front but you get the picture. We stumbled upon this state park beach by accident.
I couldn’t even attempt Loco Moco but it’s one of Micah’s favorites. Let’s just say you can survive a day or two on this one meal. We asked the condo manager where we could get a good local lunch plate and he pointed us toward Hawaiian food heaven. I think we ate here 3 times during the week.
We stopped at this black lava beach at Waianapanapa State Park on our way to Hana. It was AMAZING.
We were trying to do the self portrait thing and must have tried 5 or 6 times despite using the mirror function on the iphone. We kept get hit by the ocean spray and wind while trying to take the picture. I love this picture because I think it’s attempt 4 or 5. I couldn’t stop laughing.
Haleakala National Park left us breathless – literally. We went from sea level to 10,000 feet up in a matter of an hour. I ended up with a bit of altitude sickness once we were back at sea level but it was totally worth it. I mean look at this place!
More is coming this week. We have tons of pictures we took with real cameras (not just our iphones!!). We can’t wait to share this and few other projects we’ve been working on.
